Competition Details and PrizeWhy are you selling the Property by Competition? As it is important for us to return to the UK due to health reasons, we decided to sell Les Vieux Chaisby competition after a friend told us about a successful house competition in England. We alsothought it would be a wonderful way to give someone a life-changing opportunity to win and live in thisunique property, as well as giving us the chance to sell in a slow market and in a given timeframe.Who is involved in the Competition?Initially we were hoping to retain the same lawyer involved in the successful Devon house competitionas there are some similarities between that property and ours but as he had changed companies thiswas not possible. He did, however, recommend the leading law firm of Walker Morris in Leeds and itis they who have drawn up the Terms & Conditions and who we have worked with to ensureeverything is fully compliant with UK legislation. It was also important that the entry fee collection and processing methods were very safe and peoplefelt completely confident using it. We turned to Barclaycard, the company that gave the UK its firstcredit card in 1966 and is now a global enterprise with branches in 60 countries, and OptimalPayments Ltd as the payment gateway (a payment gateway protects credit card details by encryptingsenstive information, it is similar to a point of sale terminal you see in most retail outlets). As all entry fees are being held in an Escrow bank account, Barclaycard recommended OCRAWorldwide in London as a company they had done business with before and having followed throughon their advice, OCRA is now the appointed Escrow account manager. What is the Prize? If the maximum number of entries is met, the prize is the property Les Vieux Chais, 1 Allée desPlatanes, 16200 Bourg-Charente, France as described on this website and Title Deeds. It will betransferred to the winner in the form of an English registered company, Les Vieux Chais Ltd, free ofany encumbrances with all legal costs and purchase taxes paid. Fixtures, fittings and furniture will beincluded. If the maximum number of entries is not received as at the Closing Date (or extended period) theCompetition will close and:a) the Prize will not be transferred to the Winner unless the Promoter agrees to transfer the Prize to the Winner, however, due to the need to return to the UK, the Promoter will be willing toconsider a transfer at a reduced number of entries orb) alternatively there will be a cash prize of all entry fees less legitimate expenses as per theTerms & Conditions What do you have to do to enter the Competition? To enter the Competition and be in with a chance of winning this amazing property simply follow this three step procedure:•Complete the registration form•Pay your entry fee of £5 by credit or debit card and feel confident that all transactions are processed by Barclaycard on Optimal Payments’ secure server. We accept payment by: Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Visa Electron, Maestro, Switch and Solo.•Once you have paid your entry fee, you are then invited to play Spot the Boule, where you use your skill and judgement to determine the position of a boule that has been thrown by a player. However, the boule has been removed from the photograph and you must select a position where you think it is. (For those who are wondering what a boule is, ‘Boules’ is a traditional French ball game and a boule is a metal ball).Remember, all monies are held in an Escrow account until the end of the Competition and a Winner is declared. So go on and play and the very best of luck!
